Behind Landscape Arch

One large slab fell off the arch in 1991 and then two additional large rockfalls occurred in 1995. Since then the trail beneath the arch has been closed.  So I was able to make this image before 1995.

What these trees have seen!!!

Arborglyphs are pictures carved into trees.  This one is at the site of an old sheep camp high in the mountains and could be over 100 years old.

I photographed the Raven Raiders sign during one of my visits to Yellowstone in the winter.  Apparently, while snowmobilers were off watching Old Faithful or inside eating, the Ravens would unzip the saddlebags on the snowmobiles and help themselves to whatever  was inside.
