Knee is healing well

Went outside to shovel snow

and fill bird feeders

I asked my in-home physical therapist, Ryan, to write an unbiased account of my recovery from my total knee replacement surgery on 15 February.  Here is what she wrote:
“Robert is progressing fabulously in PT!  He is way ahead of the game – already using a cane or nothing at all with his walking and making great strides in improving his left knee range of motion.  He got to 105 degrees of knee bend in his left knee which is fantastic.  He’s gonna be back on the Colorado Trail in no time.”
I also want to thank the dozens of people that have provided me with food, stopped by to visit, and contacted me via phone, text or email.  I am very grateful to each and every one of you and especially to my friend, Deb, who came from Flagstaff and stayed at my place from the 15th to the 21st and helped out tremendously.
This morning with the temperatures in the mid-teens I went out and shoveled snow and filled my bird feeders.  It felt so wonderful to be outside in the cool clean air under a bright sunny blue Colorado sky.  Yeah, I took a few selfies. Sorry. The photo on the right is the view from my house looking south.
