Warbler with gray head,

White eye crescents, no wingbars.

Snow, mountains and lake

Slap on flash. Ignore the signs

Must include the poppies.

Out here in the West

Purple Martins nest in trees

No silly houses.

A march for our lives

Thoughts and prayers aren’t enough

Protect our babies.

New Korean friends

I took them to the trailhead

Were guests at my house.

Small in size, bold eyering

Sitting on a nest

Desert water flows

Sunlight glows off canyon walls

Time for reflection

Tall walls form deep dreams

The next turn in the canyon

What wonders await?
