Faces called flowers

brighten a damp rainy day

Grateful for small gifts.

The clouds and mountains

they quietly beckon us

to dream and join them.

Four Western Bluebirds:

Young juveniles, hanging out,

watching for insects

A neighbor’s woodpile
Neatly split and stacked with care
Poised for home-warming

Weather is cooling

The acorns are ripening

Bears love acorns

This was a grab shot with my cell phone while out walking in my neighborhood.  If I had looked at the image in the field, I would have removed the leaf that was out of focus and then taken the photo again…or found a better composition in another tree.  Artists are seldom pleased with what they create.

Smudges of beauty.

This morning as the sun shone through Grandmother Tree it lit up different areas of the bear’s smudge marks on the window. With a telephoto lens I picked out interesting compositions as the light changed.  I ended up making over 100 images.  These are the first few.  What fun.
I posted these images on Facebook and asked people to guess what they were seeing.  So far no one has guessed correctly.
