I’d been aware of the Namibia sunset photo for many years and just considered it one of many thousands of very good images in my collection.
When I came across it earlier this week it struck me that it is the perfect metaphor to accompany the lessons delivered from the two birds from opposite regions of the country.
For me the photo has to do with my future – seeking and exploring new horizons. I interpret the image in one of two ways: 1) that’s me going solo so its a self-portrait or 2) perhaps the person is a female companion that shares the same passion for pushing the limits, going beyond what is considered “normal”and comfortable and exploring the amazing magical wonders of the intricate web-of-life on our beautiful planet.
